Socially Responsible Leadership Experiences

Community Resources
The Acacia Group believes that community development is about relationships. A casual search on the internet will quickly identify the numerous foundations, government and nongovernmental organizations, not for profit organizations, and faith based agencies who aspire to assist in providing humanitarian and developmental assistance to communities around the world. We look to the leadership provided by our partners to identify best and emerging practice in this area.

This page will provide a few examples of resources - both written and internet based - that highlight best practice in community development, and the issues that are raised in debate as values, purpose, and politics converge to improve the quality of life in communities and societies around the world.

http://photovoice.ca/manual.pdf This manual was developed for organizations, agencies and grassroots/activist groups who are looking for an innovative way to get community issues on the public agenda. This manual provides a startingpoint based on the practical lessons we have learned as we worked through various Photovoice projects.
