Dave Harrhy

Dave brings to The Acacia Group a lifelong passion for social justice and corporate social responsibility. In his many leadership roles he has taken on responsibilities that have allowed him to participate in private public partnerships and forums through which the societal issues of mental health and addictions can be addressed. One need spend only a short period of time with Dave to know that he carries a personal responsibility to use his skills, knowledge, and experience in the service of others.

Dave, for many years, has held a belief that organizations have a responsibility to invest in their people, their community, and their world. The current global movement towards social responsibility as a strategic business goal is a movement that he has been waiting for. He is excited about the opportunity to work with organizations and helping them engage and grow their leaders for the emerging business environment - an environment that is demanding that organizations attend to people and to communities.

Dave has over twenty years of experience in a number of organizations as a clinician, a manager, and a leader. In many of his roles Dave has explored the viability and feasibility of partnerships between the 'for profit' and the 'not for profit' sectors. Dave is the epitome of a lifelong learner. His educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology and two Masters Degrees in Business and Public Sector Administration (child and youth services). Outside of the formal education setting he is a capricious reader and a seeker of new information and perspectives to help him contribute to what is good in the world.
