The Ixiles are world famous for their stunning intricately woven clothing. It is a wonderful opportunity for a traveler to visit a place where the culture feels both traditional and vibrant at the same time. Nebaj is a bustling, lively town.Working with our partners at Social Entrepreneur Corps (www.socialentrepreneurcorps.com) you will have the opportunity to engage in service working alongside the Ixiles providing after school care, helping in the Centro Explorativo (a resource library with community programs), or helping local entrepreneurs develop and deliver their goods to market.

Your experience starts with your flight to Guatemala City and shuttle transport to the beautiful city of Antigua, a colonial town nestled below the imposing volcanoes of Aqua, Fuego, and Acatenango. After resting and receiving orientation you travel by bus to the misty highlands of Guatemala, where your experience in Nebaj awaits.
Our coaches will work with you in advance of your trip to ensure that we understand your learning needs. Then with the assistance of our partners at Social Entrepreneur Corps, we will coach you through your residency period. Finally, to assist you in adapting to your return home and to make lasting changes, we continue the coaching for up to three months after your trip.
